Description: NGOs deliver humanitarian and development aid and by doing so play a critical geopolitical role. They help people most in need and can play an important role in reducing conflict and instability. But the pandemic threatens to create donor fatigue among citizens and governments whose attention is focused on domestic crises. What are we prepared to do to keep the system of international aid functioning? Is it necessary to do so? What will be the role of the NGO sector - economic, cultural and political - in a post-Covid world? And what is the role of governments like the UK in ensuring NGOs can continue supporting the most marginalized people in the world?
