Daughters were married out and sons were married. If a man got married, people would say that he became rich. A family was considered as wealth. Sons had to help their fathers to look after the livestock, daughters had to help their mothers. The mother taught her daughter to cook, to milk cows, this way the girl learnt to become a wife.
