Abstract: Geoff Hayward is Professor of Education and Head of Faculty at Education. At the University of Oxford’s Department of Education Professor Hayward was one of the directors of the Nuffield 14-19 Review of Education and Training, Associate Director of the ESRC Research Centre on Skills, Knowledge and Organisational Performance (SKOPE) and the Director of Research. Subsequently, he was Head of the School of Education at the University of Leeds for three and a half years before joining the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge in October 2014. Professor Hayward’s research interests are: vocational education and training policy and practice; social disadvantage and education; transitions into Higher Education and the labour market; learning transfer.
