Abstract: This 2-min. clip shows how a student (aged 13-14) exploited the interactivity of the interactive whiteboard by using the pen to record ideas from the class in turn. These were recorded underneath, over the top of and around the edges of a simple stimulus prompt, and the teacher Lloyd led the (all boys) class in discussing each one. He saved the results which can be useful later on too. Using an open-ended prompt and taking account of all of the students’ ideas in this way helps to support an ongoing dialogue.
