Abstract: I would like to discuss about a physical background of the connection between representaions of Lie, Hecke and Cherednik algebras. For example, I will explain how conformal field theory gives a natural construction of the functors between the category of highest weight representations of the affine Lie algebras and the category of highest weight representations of the rational/trigonometric Cherednik algebras of type A.
