Abstract: Dendroidal sets form an extension of simplicial sets, suitable for dealing with nerves of (simplicial) operads rather than just categories. They also give rise to a natural definition of infinity-operad, completely parallel to that of infinity-category. In these lectures, I aim to introduce the category of dendroidal sets together with its monoidal structure and its compatible Quillen model category structure. If time allows, I will also discuss the comparison of the dendroidal theory of infinity-operads to Lurie's approach to infinity-operads.
