Abstract: When a sculptor employs a studio to produce their work, how does this affect our perception of them as an artist? This Open Forum panel discussion at The Fitzwilliam Museum debates the changing role of the contemporary sculptor, as well as ideas of quality, originality, authorship and authenticity.

* Rungwe Kingdon, Director of the Pangolin Foundry
* Helaine Blumenfeld, the Cambridge-based sculptor
* Timothy Potts, Fitzwilliam Museum Director

This Open Forum was held to mark the last few days of the inaugural 2009 Sculpture Promenade (end: 30 January 2010). This unique display on the Museum’s lawns has become one of Cambridge’s most popular new attractions, creating a new focus for contemporary art in the heart of the city. The 2010 Sculpture Promenade opens 23 March 2010.
