Abstract: | An intense area of interest in ecology is transferability: how to apply a model developed for one region to another region. This type of extrapolation is common in many areas yet is still underdeveloped statistically, particularly when models are complex or intractable. In this presentation I would like to discuss and ask advice about aspects of this problem, namely taking an experimental design approach to the problem and setting vaguely informative priors. Two questions will also be asked. |
