Abstract: Actions of a braid monoid give rise to cosimplicial identities. Cosimplicial identities for morphisms of (noncommutative) probability spaces lead to spreadable processes for which there is a (noncommutative) de Finetti type theorem. This scheme can be applied to braid group representations from subfactors. We discuss results and open problems of this approach. This is joint work with G. Evans and C. Koestler.
