Abstract: | We discuss the mathematical formulation and numerical solution of free and moving boundary problems that arise in the study of cell motility. We consider the dynamics of the cell membrane and species that reside on the cell membrane. We also present novel finite element methods for the simulation of the model equations and report on numerical results. |
