| Description: | Each year since 2003 the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies has hosted a Semitic Philology Lecture delivered by a notable authority in the field, invited to give the lecture by Prof. Geoffrey Khan, who inaugurated the lecture series. Prof. Khan was Professor of Semitic Philology at the Faculty from 2002 to 2012 and has been elected Regius Professor of Hebrew with effect from October 2012. |
